Why we love Yii2

Speed.

It’s much easier to optimize websites based on Yii/Yii2 than websites based on any popular CMS. This is because the majority of CMSes or their external plug-ins add boilerplate CSS and JS code. Forgoing such CMS-based solutions in favor of Yii makes the code much more concise and cleaner. Yii is easy to integrate with modern caching systems or Elastic, which speeds websites up to an unprecedented degree.

Great for cases where CMSes just don’t cut it.

CMSes can’t handle websites with unconventional feature sets, and they’re also rarely utilized by large and high-load websites. Most expansive web-projects are framework-based rather than CMS-based.
